Lightbox
Lightbox is a tool for class assignments and presentations. This application has three components:- LightBox Assignments , a web based Flash application that allows students to arrange images by dragging them on the screen, and then associate each image with a reference number and explanatory text. Wesleyan students log on using their email password, and their work is saved in a database. Student work can then be viewed and commented upon by faculty. Through an online form, the faculty member can create a lightbox for any collection in the Media Database, assign it to a class, create specific instructions and set the time period in which students can work on their lightboxes.
- LightBox Viewer - a web based Flash application for viewing image collections in the Wesleyan Media Database.
- Standalone Viewer for PC (Mac version a possible future development) - for viewing images in a directory on the user's hard drive
Future Possibilities
A standalone desktop version for both the PC and the Mac.
