Immediately following the mythological portion of the Cross Group texts, the Temples of the Cross, Sun, and Foliated Cross record a 2-3 day cycle of ceremonies beginning on the Maya date of 2 Kib' 14 Mol or on July 23, 690. The first rite listed in the cycle is a puluy or burning event followed by the dedication of a particular house or shrine on 3 Kab'an 15 Mol. Either later on the same day or perhaps on a third day, Kan B'ahlam conjures gods, probably through blood sacrifice, after which he adorns his gods or the icons of his gods with bark-paper headdresses (hu'n). The text of the Temple of the Foliated Cross states that these ceremonies occurred in the Lakam Ha' shrine (Lakam Ha' Chan Ch'e'n) known as the Wak Chan cave of a particular deity, whereas the Temple of the Sun places the ceremony at the Descending Quetzal Mountain Shrine (Chan Ch'e'n).

Interlinear translations of the parallel texts from the Temples of the Foliated Cross and Sun are provided below. Notice that despite their close similarities each speaks of the same events in slightly different ways.
