Accelerated Motion awarded grant from NITLE, and Wesleyan Seed grant

A joint project between the Academic Media Studio, the Wesleyan Press, Wesleyan Faculty, and authors Ann C. Albright and Ann Dills, Accelerated Motion: Towards a New Dance Literacy in America, is a web-based, multi-media teaching resource for dance studies. Accelerated Motion will be designed for teachers of dance studies and history survey courses as well as teachers in the humanities who wish to incorporate dance into their curricula. It will offer resources for teachers and students including: primary documents in text, image, and audio; an annotated guide to relevant web sites; guides for analyzing primary dance sources with interactive exercises; model teaching assignments; sample syllabi; and moderated discussions about teaching dance history.
