intro background

Information literacy is a crucial skill in the pursuit of knowledge.  It involves recognizing when information is needed and being able to efficiently locate, accurately evaluate, effectively use, and clearly communicate information in various formats.  The following two modules concentrate on the discovery of appropriate data for empirical research projects and the presentation of the final results.

A good poster design will make communicating your great ideas even easier, and it only takes a little bit more work. Here you will find templates you can modify, and learn about things to do and what to avoid to create effective poster presentations.

Data resources can be found in many ways: here you will see examples of obtaining data through subscription data resources, free data resources; discipline specific websites; and even indirectly by using journal citations.
